EPID TO CHART PATH FOR GROWTH, AS IKORODU DIVISION SET FOR 2026 GENERAL ASSEMBLY.


The Eminent Persons of Ikorodu Division (EPID) is set to hold its 2026 General Assembly on Tuesday, 12th May 2026, at the Ikorodu Ultra Modern Town Hall. The event, themed "Diversity and Inclusive Governance in a Democratic Dispensation: Setting Boundaries and Weighing the Pros and Cons," aims to bring together stakeholders to discuss the division's development and leadership.

In a press conference, the Chairman of EPID, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, has invited leaders, government officials, corporate bodies, and citizens to attend the Assembly, where public office holders' performance scorecards and corporate social responsibilities will be showcased. The event will also feature the recognition of individuals and organizations contributing to the Division's progress.

EPID, a non-political and non-governmental organization, aims to reposition Ikorodu Division for political, infrastructural, and socio-economic growth. The liaison council will engage with governments and corporate bodies to improve the Division's well-being.

Recommendations from the 2024 Assembly, including organizing annual Boat Regatta and establishing a military hospital, are being pursued. The chairman of the liaison council will provide details on the day of the Assembly.

The EPID Chairman, Prince Ogunlewe, equally reaffirmed the group's dedication to Ikorodu Division's growth and development, while addressing questions from MegaXpression media and other journalists in attendance.

Other notable dignitaries at the Press Conference include Basorun Babatunde Rotinwa, Chief Tele Oduloye, Princess Abisade Ladega, Alhaja Kudirat Lamina, Dr. Muftau Tunde, Mrs O.T Benson, Alhaji Kazeem Shotomiwa, amongst others.
