The leadership and the guest for who should lead the people of Oreta community between Mr Ojikutu and Mr Shina of both Sholumade family, had stagnated progress and development of the community for decades. This worrisome state of the community was reported recently by our media due to the vacuum created by the absence of leadership in Oreta community. Unequivocally, the economic activities in the community was grounded to a halt as the youths decided to take the bull by the horn on Tuesday, 31st of October, 2017, while they approached the two rivalry contenders of the Baale Chieftaincy tittle, to sign undertaken that, conflicts of any kind will not ensue before, during and after the installation of whoever emerged. CULTURAL REBIRTH: IKORODU DIVISION SET TO CELEBRATE ASA CARNIVAL. | Shakiru Seidu.   Let's keep the date and showcase our cultural value to the world, Hon Akinsola urges the people of Ikorodu division.

It is proverbially said that, any child who discards Culture has hung a bag of affliction for himself. It is going to be a memorable day in the history of Ikorodu division, when the Royal Heads, Regents and the traditional Chiefs, the Majority Leader, at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, the Special Adviser and Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, IREP Team and the entire indigenes of Ikorodu division will celebrate ASA Carnival in grand style. ASA was said to be a beautiful socio-cultural heritage of decades which usually harmonize the people of Ikorodu Division in the good old days. The gradual extinction of this 'ASA' has been salvaged by the dynamic Hon. Sanai Agunbiade in a bid to restore the emblem that unites the people of Ikorodu Division together. ONE YOUTH, ONE SKILL, AS COUNCILLOR AROWOLO EMPOWERS OVER 115 YOUTHS IN IBESHE WARD, IGBOGBO. | Shakiru Seidu. Launches Arowolo Grassroot Foundation (AGF).

It was a day of history in Ward C4, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, where Councillor Mathew Arowolo empowered over 115 youths on Sunday, 29th of October, 2017, at Baale Molatori's Palace, Owode-Ibeshe. Immediately after the opening prayer, Chairman of the occasion, Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa applauded Councillor Mathew Arowolo for his untiring efforts in community development and urged the people of Ward C4 to have faith in God as Arowolo did when contesting. The Woman Leader of the Ward, Mrs. Obayomi in her comment urged women to  involve in politics and cautioned not to take politics as  a means of livelihood but as a way of impacting the community and nation as a whole. She enjoined people not to be over ambitious when comes to positions. The 45years of Baaleship tussle of Oreta community that known to be a great concern and very worrisome to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and his Chiefs have turned to be another story, as the matter remained unsettled. The matter which was agreed to be resolved at the Palace of Adeboruwa of IGBOGBO on Tuesday, 24th of October, 2017, turned contrary on that day due to an urgent security report. According to the news gathered by MegaXpression Magazine, it was revealed that one of the two contestants came to Palace on the day of reconciliation with fully armed thugs to attack the process. The Kabiyesi and his Chiefs therefore decided to suspend the matter indefinitely until the parties involved are ready for peace. Chief Ramoni Yusuf (Atayese) of Sholumade family was therefore agreed by the Palace to take the leadership of Oreta community until further notice. A+ DISCIPLES, PARTY LEADERS ENDORSES AMBODE FOR SECOND TERM IN IKORODU DIVISION. | Shakiru Seidu. Spread the A+ Disciples to other Local Governments, APC Chairmen urges Akinsola.

A socio- political Group, called A+ Disciples, Leaders and other APC faithfuls in Ikorodu Division, today, pledged their unalloyed support for the re- election of the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, saying re-electing him into office will further boost economic prosperity of the State. The decision came to open at the General Assembly meeting held at A+ Disciples' Office in Igbogbo, on Saturday, 28th of October, 2017. The Group revealed their conviction, having watched carefully the policies and programmes of the State government for the past two and half years in areas such as security, education, road construction and other infrastructural developments, that Governor Ambode, if given a second term in office would be able to consolidate on his developmental strides.
