A 40-year old teacher from Andus De-Great Private Schools, Igbogbo, Lagos State, Mrs. Sidikat Afolake Ogunsanya, has emerged in Lagos State as the Best 2019 Indomie Teacher of the Year. He defeated all other 22,000 participants in both the public and private schools across the 20 LGs and 37 LCDAs of Lagos State to clinch the first position. The Indomie Teachers Quiz is an initiative of De-United Foods Industries Limited, designed to identify, showcase and reward teachers who are outstanding among their peers in the State. It is a maiden edition in history of the event. For Ogunsanya's effort, he went home with a plaque, certificate and other gifts as a State champion. IKORODU STANDS STILL AS IKODASS ORGANISES ANNUAL FITNESS WALK EXERCISE IN CELEBRATION OF 28TH IKORODU OGA DAY.   It's designed to improve the health of the people, Otunba Ganiu Abiru reveals.

This year's annual fitness walk exercise that is designed to strengthening the health of the people of Ikorodu Division was on Saturday, October 19, came to life as different people, both the young and old, assembled at Ikorodu Town Hall, to walk round the community in celebration of the 28th Ikorodu Oga Day. The Chairman, Ikorodu Development Association, IKODASS, Otunba Ganiu Olusegun Abiru, led the walk from Ikorodu Town Hall through Ita-Elewa- Ota-Ona - Ikorodu Garrage Roundabout and eventually terminated the walk at Ayangburen’s Palace, Ikorodu. Speaking with MegaXpression Correspondent, Otunba Abiru explained that the programme is designed to improve the health of the people. It was another happy moment for the people of Ikorodu federal constituency on Saturday, October 12, 2019, when the iCARE Foodbank doled out food for the less privilege in Ikorodu Division. iCare FoodBank, an initiative of iCare Foundation of Hon. Babajimi Benson, a nonprofit charitable organization that buys food and grocery products and redistributes the items in a bag called ‘APO AANU or ‘MERCY BAG’ to individuals and vulnerable families in need within Ikorodu Federal Constituency.  The beneficiaries defied the heavy downpour to participate in the kind gesture. S.O.B Agunbiade, Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, have concluded all necessary arrangement to hold this year's celebration of ASA Festival on Saturday, November 2, 2019. This was revealed on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, during the Stakeholders meeting held at the Constituency office of Hon S.O.B Agunbiade.
