METHODIST CHURCH, DIOCESE OF IKORODU MARKS 25TH ANNIVERSARY, LAUNCHES DIOCESAN BOOK/ MUSICAL CONCERTS. It's to celebrate what God has done through the years, Chairman Planning Committee, Sir Ayodele Elesho reveals.

The Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ikorodu, founded in 1995 is 25 years old. At a book launch on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, inside Patrick Bolaji Methodist Cathedral, Ita-Elewa Ikorodu, as part of the one week celebration, the Bishop, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev. Samson O. Osundina, Conference Lay President Emeritus, Sir (Dr.) Babatunde O. Benson, SAN, and wife, Lay President, Sir David O.A. Sunmoni, Otunba Engr. Akinola Awomodu, Sir (Otunba) Ayodele Elesho, Dr. Omotunde Ogunlaja, Sir Engr. R.O. Shoderu, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, among other distinguished personalities were in attendance at the book launch. The Bishop, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev. Samson O. Osundina said the Diocese created in 1995 with the inclusion of Igbogbo, Okeletu, Agbowa, Ogijo special area, Somolu and Ikorodu Circuits. Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, on January 27, 28, 2020, through the iCARE Foundation, organised  a 2-day iCARE Lecture Series at Rega Hall, Olu-odo, Igbogbo, Lagos, a second of it's kind, where he brought together scholars, professionals from different field to address the mindset of Ikorodu youths towards the entrepreneurship as a way of boosting national economy. 'WE STAND' FOUNDATION PALLIES iCARE FOODBANK, GIVES SUCCOUR TO HUNDREDS VULNERABLE IN IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY. It's designed to prevent my constituents from going to bed without food, Hon Babajimi Benson reveals.

Hundreds of individuals and vulnerable families in need across Ikorodu federal Constituency were as usual on Saturday benefited from the January 2020 edition of iCARE Foodbank programme, an initiative of iCare Foundation of Hon. Babajimi Adekoge Benson, MHR. A nonprofit charitable organization that buys food and grocery products and redistributes the items in a bag called ‘APO AANU or ‘MERCY BAG’ to less privileges. But this time around, 'WE STAND' Foundation, a N.G.O with same vision, pallied with the iCARE foodbank to give succour to hundreds of people in Ikorodu Division.  While addressing the beneficiaries, the DG iCARE Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, welcomed all and prayed for financial breakthrough in the life of the beneficiaries.
