The Chairman, Imota LCDA, Hon (Prince) Wasiu Kunle Agoro, on Thursday, September 26, gave free medical test to hundreds of people in Imota LCDA, laid foundation for an ultramodern Office Complex for the LCDA, gave bursary awards to students, empowered artisans, including the aged ones. The two years anniversary which took place at the Council Secretariat's new site, witnessed the presence of Royal Heads, political and religious leaders across Ikorodu Division, Council Chiefs, market men and women, amongst others.  Speaking at the event, the hard working chairman revealed to MegaXpression Correspondent that the construction of Council building would have many Offices, toilets, Conference rooms, multi purpose Hall, marriage registry Hall and many creative entrance to the building. FORMER COMMISSIONER, KEHINDE BAMIGBETAN TO DELIVER LECTURE, AS IMPACT NEWSPAPER SETS TO CELEBRATE ITS 5TH ANNIVERSARY.

Former Commissioner for Information and Strategy and publisher of an Ejigbo based community newspaper, Echo News, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan, will be the guest speaker at the 5th year anniversary of the foremost community newspaper, THE IMPACT, coming up in Ikorodu.  The anniversary is scheduled to hold at the Falcoms Bar & Lounge, 34 , FRCN Road, opposite Mobil filling station, after St. Margret Nursery & Primary Schools, Ebute-Ipakodo, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ikorodu Division, Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria, on Friday, September 27, 2019. LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT OBTAINS INPUTS FROM STAKEHOLDERS, HOSTS LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT ON THE Y2020 BUDGET IN IKORODU. | Shakiru Seidu. Monarchs, Legislators, Council Chiefs, Business moguls, Groups, Associations, others, in attendance.

All roads were led to Ikorodu Town Hall on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, as the Lagos State Government held its Y2020 budget consultative forum, meeting the Stakeholders across the Lagos East senatorial. The LASG at the gathering said the State government will conformed with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES agenda.  stated this.  The Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Planning and Budget, Adebayo Sodade, whose on behalf  of the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Samuel Egube, stated this. He further explained that the key focus of the budget would be on Traffic management and transportation; health and environment; education and technology; making Lagos a 21st-century state, as well as security and governance.  He noted that the budget would also focus on rehabilitation of schools and hospitals, as well as sustaining the ‘light-up initiative of the state government,’ added that ongoing projects would be completed while new ones would also be initiated.

It was a case of celebrating the stars in Ikorodu Division when women of substance across the Division with different attires were seated to honor members of their folk who has paid their dues and contributed their quota in community development. The programme which took place at Ikorodu Town Hall, organized by Damola Aderibigbe of Starlight Newspaper, was tagged “Amazons Recognition Award”.  An APC Chieftain and retired Deputy Director from the Lagos state Health sector, Lion Olufunmi Oshinowo- Basorun, awarded the 2019 Ikorodu Division AMAZON of the year. Miss Arinola Okeowo won the most promising youth for leadership in Ikorodu, while Hon Abimbola Adaramola, Supervisor for WAPA, Ikorodu North LCDA, won the Most Outstanding female Personality in the Management/Executive Team of Ikorodu North LCDA.  Mrs Oluwakemi Yetunde Kalesanwo, an Igbogbo indigene and a member of LASU Alumni, SUBEB and UNILAG Board of Trustees and also member of Ikorodu Division Women of Substance, won th
