The former Clerk of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Lagos East Senatorial seat Aspirant, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, popularly called GOA and the GOA Team for Senate 2019, Ikorodu chapter, on Thursday said it had concluded arrangements to organise a one-million-man march for the collection of permanent voters card in Ikorodu Division. The Lagos State Government has commiserated with families of victims who lost their lives and property in a fatal tanker explosion which occurred on Thursday evening on Otedola Bridge, inward Ojodu Berger area of the State. The incident, which occurred at about 5pm, left scores of vehicles burnt while some lives were lost. The Government, in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, described the incident as a sad development, saying that the incident was most unfortunate and regrettable.   “On behalf of the Lagos State Government, we extend our deepest commiseration to the families of persons who lost their lives as well as properties to the incident. The new national officers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have emerged after the national convention of the party. MegaXpression Magazine recalls that the ruling party conducted its national convention on Saturday, June 23, with Adams Oshiomole, a former governor of Edo State emerging as the National Chairman of the ruling party. Similarly, Bolaji Abdullahi defeated popular blogger and publisher, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, to emerge the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling party. Abdullahi polled a total of 2002 votes to defeat Abdul Sidiq, his closest opponent who garnered 243 votes to retain his position as the spokesman of the APC. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has affirmed Adams Oshiomhole as the new national chairman of the party.  Oshiomhole was affirmed after he emerged as the sole candidate for the position. The names of each of the unopposed candidates were mentioned by the Chairman of the national convention committee, Governor Abubakar Badaru Mohammed of Jigawa State, while the delegates in affirmation chorused ‘Yes’. It's gathered that the Local Government led by Mr. Wasiu Ayodeji Adeshina recently secured and concluded renovation works on a structure along the popular Haruna Bus Stop, Ikorodu, to ensure the prompt commencement of the construction works of Shoprite.
