IGBOGBO MONARCH INSPECTS IGBOGBO- BOLA AHMED TINUBU- IGBE ROAD, FROWNS AT SLOW PACE OF ON-GOING PROJECT. ...Urges HI-TECH to expedite action for socio-economic development of the area.

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, has decried the slow pace of work on Igbogbo- Bola Ahmed Tinubu- Igbe road project, stressing that the road was strategic to the socio-economic development of Lagos State. Oba Kasali made this known during the inspection visit to the construction of on-going road project site. While speaking with MegaXpression News, the Monarch urged the HI-TECH Contractor handling the road project to expedite action and do the needful in accordance with the terms and conditions attached to the award of the contract. The King added that no well-meaning Government will be willing to disengage a performing and capable contractor. He advised Contractor to wake up from their slumber and fast track work on the on-going road project, adding that HI-TECH has yet to advanced 20 percent of the work done so far. Motorists and other road users of 1.7km Igbe/Oreyo road, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos, can finally have a sigh of relief as the Contractor hired by the federal government, JRB Investment, have commenced work on the full rehabilitation of the road. Igbe/Oreyo road is under Igbe Gateway Joint CDAs, Igbogbo, which comprises of Igbeyin Adun, Ifeoluwa, Otitoloju, Itedo Oluwa, Onolu, Igbe Progressive, Hilltop, Peaceland, and Odera CDAs. Speaking with the facilitator, a federal lawmaker and Chairman, House Committee on Defence, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, said to MegaXpression News that the bad condition of Igbe/Oreyo road in Igbogbo had affected the economic activities of the people in that area. As the Lagos East Senatorial Bye-Election, scheduled to hold on October 31 gets closer, the Women Affairs committee of Tokunbo Abiru Campaign Team, TACT, of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Sunday morning at Tokunbo Abiru Campaign office in Ikorodu, began its array of Mega Rallies ahead of the bye-election, to garner support for their Lagos East Senatorial candidate, Mr Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru. The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Lagos has graduated no fewer than 100 from its 2020 entrepreneurship  training scheme held in Ikorodu, Lagos. Dr. Nasiru Argungu, Director-General of NDE, disclosed this in Ikorodu on Thursday at the council secretariat where certificates were presented to the 100 participants, MegaXpression News reports.  Augungu, represented by Mrs Serena Olayemi Edward, Lagos Coordinator of NDE, said the 100 participants were trained on entrepreneurship skills. She congratulated the entrepreneurs for their sense of responsibility, independence, self-realisation and capability for self-actualisation and fulfilment.
