RAMADAN: LAGOS MAJORITY LEADER, HON. S.O.B AGUNBIADE DISTRIBUTES FOOD ITEMS TO CONSTITUENTS. ...Urges residents to make use of facial mask, follow all preventive guidelines, as stipulated by the State Government for COVID-19.

As Muslims continue to observe the month of Ramadan and efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19 continues, Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu constituency 1, Hon S.O.B. Agunbiade has distributed food items to the Muslim  communities and people of his constituency.  This was said to cushion the effect of the 'Stay at Home Order' and hard economic situation brought by the Coronavirus pandemic through movement restriction. The relief materials which includes rice, garri and other consumables goods were given to thousands of muslims, vulnerable and various classes of people from Ikorodu LG, Ikorodu West and Ikorodu North LCDAs. The Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has distributed the batch 'J' of palliative materials and facial masks to vulnerable, aged and less privileged persons in Ikorodu, as part of measures to cushion the adverse effects of the stay-at-home order occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic. The relief materials which were distributed across Ikorodu Division, afforded the Princess the ample opportunity to sensitise the people on the use of facemasks and need to take precautions this period to avoid being infected with the coronavirus. An accredited fumigation outfit with Lagos State Government license, Savefirst Environmental Service, has disinfected the General Hospital Ikorodu with chlorine solution as part of their efforts to curb the spread of Coronavirus in Ikorodu Division. This recorded the approval of the Medical Director of Ikorodu General Hospital, Dr. (Mrs) O. Bankole. The Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Prince Toyin Gafaar, popularly known as Bolowotan, has urged residents of Lagos State to help as many people as they can in the light of the lockdown initiated by the Federal Government of Nigeria as part of measures to curtail the spread of the novel Coronavirus. Speaking during the distribution of packs of noodles to 2,500 residents of Ikorodu in the 3rd Phase of his relief program, Bolowotan said the challenges posed by the lockdown warrant that people should show compassion by sharing in what they have available with others. An Igbogbo indigene of Lagos State, Dr. Dankuwo Adeleke Oyenuga, was on Tuesday joined other philanthropists in Nigeria to help cushion the effect of lockdown on the less privileged.  Dankuwo, who is a Member of West Africa College of Surgeon, gives out Cash relief to 50 indigents residing in Igbogbo Community of Lagos State.
