The celebration, according to the Chairman of Tortuga, Ikorodu Chapter, Comrade Pelumi Olalekan, “for our various families to thank God for all His riches in glory, physically and spiritually, all through the year. I do not need to be reminded to count God’s blessings one by one because that is what we are doing”. Pelumi added: “As you and I know, the Lord can’t provide for us and still thank himself for all His goodness to us. It is our duty to return to Him in thanksgiving, praise and worship.  “Thanksgiving is not a new thing to the world as the world sets out a day to thank God before the end of the year.
