GLAMOUR AS CHARISMARTIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS HOLD 4TH BI-ANNUAL INTER-HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION. It's aimed at promoting mental alertness in pupils, students, the Proprietress, Revd. (Mrs) Abiodun Charis Akinsanya reveals.

It was a memorable day when Charismatin International Schools, situated at Gbaga, Ikorodu, Lagos, held its 4th Bi-annual Inter House Sports Competition. The event which took place inside the school premises on Thursday, February 28, 2020, witnessed a great encounter between the Red, Blue, Yellow and Green Houses. It was no doubt a historic Sports competition to the Pupils, Students, and also the dignitaries. The colourful March Past, the highly competitive races and several other sporting activities among the four Houses got the guests glued to the sports ground. Apostle Afolayan did the presentation of prizes to the invited Schools for participation. In the female race, Hosanna College took the 3rd position; Strong Tower Academy took the 2nd position, while Emlex College carried  the 1st position. Also, Mrs Bode-Adeoye presented prizes to invited Schools, in the male race, Hosanna College took 3rd position, Emlex College, 2nd position while First Runner College carried the 1st pos

IKORODU CDCs/CDAs GIVE BIRTH TO FIRST COMMUNITY POLICING FORUM IN NIGERIA, AS ROYAL HEADS, COUNCIL CHIEFS, OTHERS CHARGE RESIDENTS TO BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS. Kayode, Adedeji, Ayeni, others sworn-in as first executive of CPF.

It was a memorable day recently at the Police Hall, inside the Divisional Police Station, along Igbogbo road, Ikorodu, when the Local Council Chairmen, traditional and religious leaders, representative of Nigeria Bar Association, Nigeria Police and other security agencies were in attendance to witness the first Community Policing Forum in Nigeria, CPF, founded by the Community Development Councils, CDCs and Community Development Associations, CDAs of Ikorodu Division, which is aimed at ensuring the safety of lives, properties and better environment in Ikorodu Division. According to the Chairman electoral committee, CPF, Mr Musa Shakiru, "the state of security in Ikorodu Division is volatile and regretting. The Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Bldr. Daini Olusesan Mayokun, has presented an estimate of Two Billion, Two hundred and eleven Million, six hundred Thousand, eighty one naira and fifty seven Kobo (N2,211,600,081.57) to the Igbogbo/Bayeku Legislative Arm, for consideration as appropriation for the 2020 fiscal year. While presenting the budget estimate tagged, “Development & Accomplishment”, Bldr. Daini, described it as a major milestone in the life of his administration, adding that the importance of budget in any organization, is to direct the financial transactions within a fiscal year. DAINI LEADS COMMUNITY LEADERS TO INSPECT THE NEW ULTRAMODERN OFFICE COMPLEX IN IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA, SAYS IT'S IN COMPLETION STAGE.

The Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini, alongside his cabinet members and legislative Arm, on Monday, led the All Progressives Congress, APC, religious and traditional leaders to inspected the new almost done ultramodern Office Complex inside  the Council Secretariat, Igbogbo, Lagos State. While explaining for the Community leaders during the inspection, the Chairman, said the construction of the one-storey building would have 28 Offices, 37 toilets, a Conference room, a multi purpose Hall, a marriage registry Hall and three creative entrance to the building.  He further stated that his desire to build a world-class office complex for Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA was motivated by his interest in putting LCDA among the best Councils in Lagos State. The Chairman however, reiterated his commitment to improve on infrastructural development of the LCDA, achieve a sound healthy environment for his people. LAGOS LAWMAKER DISTRIBUTES OVER 100 JAMB FORMS TO STUDENTS IN IKORODU, PROMISES TO PAY FIRST TUITION FEES FOR STUDENTS SCORED ABOVE 300 MARKS. Homat's CEO, Alhaji Amusa, others applaud Hon. SOB Agunbiade's gesture.

The Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade, has distributed over 100 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms to students of Ikorodu Division. Agunbiade distributed the forms in Igbogbo on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at HOMAT ICT Centre Igbogbo. Saying the gesture is aimed at improving the standard of education in the Division, State and the country at large. Agunbiade added that the forms were distributed to reduce the burden of JAMB registration on parents of the students. "The purpose of this is to let you know that the fact that you didn't spend your money to purchase the form or someone purchased for you is not a license for you not to be serious. "Don't say because my parent is not the one that bought  it, I can just go into the exam and just do the exam.
