The Independent Campaign Group for Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Party’s governorship candidate for APC in 2019 elections, on Tuesday inaugurated 1,100 Foot Soldiers in Ikorodu Division, in order for APC to win with landslide margin in the forthcoming general elections. MegaXpression learnt that Sanwo-Olu Foot Soldiers was established under the Office of the Director General of Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu to mobilize the electorates in all polling booths in Lagos State with a view to exercise their voting rights in the election days. They were expected to generate personal data of each registered PVC holder for the usage of BOS ICG on election days. The event witnessed inauguration of ward and polling units coordinators of the group in Ikorodu LG, Igbogbo/Bayeku, Imota, Ijede, Ikorodu North and Ikorodu West LCDAs. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has spelled out the voting procedures for the 2019 General Elections. The election umpire wrote via its verified Twitter handle, @inecnigeria. The following are the seven steps, as stated by INEC: Step 1 Upon arrival at the polling unit, joins the queue and present yourself to the INEC official (APO111) at the polling unit who will determine whether you are at the correct polling unit and check if the photograph on the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) matches your face. Step 2: The official (APO1) will request for your PVC to confirm that your card is genuine and your details, using the smart card reader. FG REACHES AGREEMENT WITH ASUU, RELEASES N15.4BN FOR SALARY SHORTFALLS. | Shakiru Seidu.

The Federal Government has reached an agreement with members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). Addressing journalists on Monday evening after the meeting with the striking lecturers in Abuja, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, said the majority of their demands have been met including the release of N15.4 billion for payment of salary shortfalls. According to him, the Federal Government is also in the process of releasing another N20 billion for payment of earned allowances for university lecturers. Meanwhile, the ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, said the National Executive Committee of the union will review their decisions based on the new commitment by the government.
