All roads were led to Ikorodu Town Hall on June 15, 2018, where crowd were gathered to witness the annual celebration of the Muslim faithfuls, as Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in his usual gesture joined the Muslim faithfuls in Ikorodu to celebrate this year Eid-el-Fitri. Ikorodu Central hosted the rest of the Division in this magnificent celebration this year. The celebration was glamour with many colourful events.

The keynote address of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode was articulately delivered by the Hon. Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Lagos State, Prince Rotimi Ogunleye, as he enjoined all the Muslim faithfuls to have a successful Eid-el Mubarak.

While speaking with Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine, the aspirant for Lagos State House of Assembly, contesting for Ikorodu Constituency 1 seat, Prince Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, thanked His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, his amiable wife, Mrs Bolanle Ambode and the Ministry of Home Afairs for given Ikorodu Division a befitting host of Eid-el-Fitri Get-Together (1439A.H).

In the same vein, Bolowotan sent his greetings to Prince Rotimi Ogunleye, who represented Gov. Ambode, the Six Council Chairmen in Ikorodu Division, APC Chieftains and other guests present. He further urged all to get their permanent voters card towards the forthcoming election.

Other dignitaries at the event were Chairmen ,Ikorodu Central, Ikorodu West, Igbogbo/Bayeku, traditional Chiefs, Muslim leaders, APC Stalwarts, among others.
