IKORODU AMAZONS RECOGNITION AWARD: MOTUNRAYO, BANJO, COMFORT, AJIBIKE, BALIKIS, OTHERS, HONOR FOR THEIR ESTEEM ROLES IN COMMUNITY SERVICE. | Shakiru Seidu

It was a case of celebrating the stars in Ikorodu Division when women of substance across the Division with different attires were seated to honor members of their folk who has paid their dues and contributed their quota in community development. MegaXpression magazine learnt that the award ceremony was organized by Starlight Newspaper and tagged “Amazons Recognition Award”.

The former Secretary to the Lagos state government, Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, awarded the most outstanding community heroine. Vice Chairman, Ikorodu LG, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba as the most outstanding female personality in the Executive Cabinet of Ikorodu Local Government, Vice-Chairman Ijede LCDA, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba Moturayo as the most promising youth for leadership. the Most Outstanding Female Personality in the executive cabinet of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Mrs. Usman Ibidapo Folashade, The Most Outstanding Female Personality in the executive cabinet of Ijede LCDA, Mrs Risqat Adepeju Salisu.

Also, the Most Promising Youth for Leadership in Ikorodu West LCD won by Ajibike Rukayat Adebukola. Most Promising Youth for Leadership in Igbogbo-Baiyeku Lcda won by Comrade Comfort Olafare, while the Most Promising Youth for Leadership in Ikorodu North LCDA won by Hon. Balikis Aderoju Ibrahim.

The Most Outstanding Female Personality in the executive cabinet of Ikorodu North LCDA, Mrs Folashade Banjo. Outstanding Agent of Community Development won by Alhaja Basirat Akinsanya, Outstanding Agent of Community Development, Sobowale Omobolanle Kafilat, Mrs Oluwatoyin Rashidat SAKA and Chief Mrs Chinyerem Ezuma (Nelly). Most Promising Youth for Leadership in Ikorodu Central, Princess Adefolayiga Adebukolah Morounkolah.

The award ceremony also doubled as a public lecture to treat the roles of Women in Community Building and gender equality in the civil service.

The award had in attendance, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja, Comr Olusesan Daini, Comr. Fatiu Salisu, Prince Wasiu Agoro, Hon Banjo Adebisi Adeola, Barr. SOK Shillings, Prince Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, Princess Abiodun Oyefusi, among others.
