Sterling Bank Plc was today opened a new branch in Igbogbo, Lagos State, in line with its strategic expansion plan following a national licence granted the bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The new branch was said to offer the Bank the opportunity to strategically target the markets in Igbogbo community. Igbogbo which is the leading fastest growing community in Ikorodu Division was last year witnessed an ATM gallery centre by UBA, after breaking the 17years jinx of no single commercial bank in the town.
Today's commissioning of Sterling Bank Branch in Igbogbo plays host to a large number of local traders as well as lucrative small businesses, artisans, CDAs and major stakeholders in Igbogbo, MegaXpression magazine gathered.
The new branch was said to provide quality service to residents of Igbogbo community as well as individuals and businesses from neighbouring cities within the community by offering a comprehensive range of banking services including deposits and loans, trade services, and payment, as well as cash management solutions. The branch also promises to offer customers the latest in banking technology through alternative channels offered by Sterling Bank.
The Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini, in his eloquent remarks felt fulfilled about the Bank's presence in the Community. He thanked everyone because 18years of shackles of a community without a commercial Bank after the liquidation of Savannah Bank in year 2000 was finally broken.
He therefore charged the Bank on efficiency and effectiveness by not starving the ATM with Cash needed by the people. Daini equally congratulated HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, owing to the fact that his reign is opening doors for potentials in Igbogbo Community.
However, the monarch, Oba Kasali applauded the supports and efforts of all, while urging the MD of Sterling Bank, Mr Grama Nasasimhan, to extend developmental projects towards Igbogbo Community. He therefore enjoined everyone to give their maximum supports to the Bank for quality service delivery.
The Business Executive, Sterling Bank, Mrs Olufunke Usalo, thanked all while also affirming their determination and optimism to give quality service delivery. She equally assured of smooth relationship with their customers.
While speaking with Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine, the former Special Advise on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, expressed joy and enthusiasm towards the development at this time in Igbogbo. "I am optimistic that this development is happening during our time and it will enhance cash flow and rapid economic growth in Igbogbo Kingdom." Hon. Akinsola said.
