PRINCESS FOLASHADE OLABANJI-OBA BAGS MOST OUTSTANDING FEMALE PERSONALITY IN GOVERNANCE AWARD. | Shakiru Seidu. "Use the recognition to encourage the women of Ikorodu Division," Prince Wasiu Agoro urges her.

Ikorodu Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, bagged the Most Outstanding Female Personality Award, in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The award, which was organized by the Starlight Newspaper, called, Ikorodu Amazon's RECOGNITION AWARDS, was given to Princess Folashade in recognition of her roles in the emancipation and development of Ikorodu Division.

Princess Folashade, the daughter of late Iya Suna General of Nigeria, Alhaja Chief Sikirat Atinuke Atobajaiye (Majaya lolo), was accompanied by her friends, colleagues, Change Alliance LEADERSHIP GROUP/Strike TEAM FOR AKINWUNMI AMBODE and other well wishers from far and near.

In her remarks, while speaking with MegaXpression Magazine, Princess Folashade thanked the organisers for the honour. “I thank the organisers for this honour bestowed on me and I enjoin other women to key into certain initiatives. This is the time for the women to take their rightful place and see what they can do to move the society forward.

“On my own part, I will continue to be supportive to the society. I will continue to do my very best to ensure that we create that enabling environment for our women to thrive. Once again, thank you very much for this award.” Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba said.

Earlier, the Chairman of Imota LCDA, Prince Wasiu Agoro, while presenting the award to Princess Folashade urged her to use the recognition to continue to encourage the women and move Ikorodu Division forward.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
