The former Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture and the Oluomo of Igbogboland, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, has donated 200 School uniforms and educational materials to pupils of UAMC Eleja, Ansar-ul-deen and Methodist Primary Schools in Igbogbo, Lagos, in commemoration of her 60th Birthday Anniversary.
Akinsola, who spoke to MegaXpression Media, said she believes that those who are fairly above waters should try and help those who are helpless, stating that she considered the three primary Schools in Igbogbo township; Eleja primary School, as the primary School she attended, Ansar-ru-deen Primary School, as the school she started her career and Methodist primary School, as the oldest primary School in Igbogbo community.

"I'll be 60 by God's grace on Wednesday, 6th October, and I have decided to thank God as usual and give back to the people. So, seeing some of our Pupils on tarted uniforms, I choose to provide uniforms for them and get some writing materials as well.
"Though, buying uniform is not the duty of government, but responsibility of the Parents. So, I am doing this because some of the parents can not even afford to buy new school uniform for their children, that prompted me to look into this area and intervene to affect the pupils positively," Akinsola said.

She further commended the government of Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, in terms of infrastructural development in all the schools across Lagos State. "The world would be celebrating World Teachers' Day on Tuesday and my message to my colleagues as a certified Teacher is for them to remain steadfast, make honesty and integrity their watchword, noting that without Teachers, there can not be a country because Teachers build and mould lives," Akinsola added.
While responding to MegaXpression Media, the representative of Local Governments Education Authority, LGEA, Ikorodu, Mrs Sidikat Aroyewun Oluwatoyin, also said majority of the pupils uniform are not as neat as expected, saying this can psychologically affect the pupils to concentrate while they're learning.
"This gesture will complement the effort of government in terms of promoting education in our State. I therefore, on behalf of the LGEA Ikorodu, thank the donor, Hon. Akinsola, for her magnanimity towards the betterment of our children," Aroyewun stated.
Also, Sunday Favour and Sunday Gift of Primary five, thanked Him Adebimpe Akinsola for the gesture, praying to God to reward her abundantly.
