IDHRDB DONATES COMPUTERS, OTHER ACCESSORIES TO UNITED JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IKORODU. | Shakiru Seidu. ...Gov. Sanwo-Olu, Chairman Parents' Forum, Others Laud Gesture.

Ikorodu Division Human Resource Development Board, IDHRDB, on Thursday presented three (3) Units of Computer System, 20 pairs of Teachers furnitures (20 Chairs and Tables), One (1) Unit of 12•5kg, Gas Cylinder, One (1) Unit of Gas Cooker and Cooking Utensils, Pots and frying Pan for the Home Economics Laboratory, to United Junior High School Ikorodu, Lagos, MegaXpression Media was there.

Speaking at the official presentation, the IDHRDB Chairman, Prof. (Chief) Kunle Ade Wahab OFR, OON, encouraged the students to maintain focused towards their academic endeavors, hoping that IDHRDB will donate more additional equipments in the nearest future when they mobilize more resources.

Prof. Wahab further urged the school Authority to keep the equipments safe, so that anytime the Group come for an inspection, they'll have very good impression of how they've been using the items, which might attract to do more.

Also, Basorun Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, in his remarks, equally urged the students to take their study as priority, noting that the IDHRDB still have many things in the offing for the School. "These items presented today are just little things of more things that are still coming your way. So just know that the sky is your limit," Rotinwa encouraged the students.

In an appreciative manner, the Principal of the United Junior High School, Mrs Bello Victoria, applauded the gesture of IDHRDB, saying they have been waiting for this kind support but returned the thanks to God for His Mercy upon everybody.

"We are very happy and remain grateful to Ikorodu Division Human Resource Development Board, IDHRDB, for deeming it fit to donate what will help and enhance the academic status of our students in achieving the best.

"As our people do say, Oliver twist will want more, we are just managing, most especially in terms of Classrooms and other infrastructure, so we need your assistance in facilitating this, by also helping us to go through the proper channel to the Ministry of Education, so that the School can be remembered in term of development," the Principal explained.

Mainwhile, Mrs Anike Adekanye, the Tutor General/ Permanent Secretary, Education District II, who was ably represented and speaks on behalf of the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, expressed profound gratitude over the gesture of IDHRDB to meet some of the needs of the school, stating that the government can not do it alone.

"As a government, we are so grateful as this will remain as indelible mark in the history of the school and as well as memory lane of our district. The items donated would be put in good use for the betterment of the learners and staffs. They will be well kept and maintained," the representative stated.

The presentation which was eloquently anchored by the former Executive Secretary of LGEA Ikorodu, Hon. Taiwo Oduloye, also had in attendance Engr. Shoderu, Prince Ade, Vice Principal, Mrs Ajenufuja, Mrs Ibrahimoh, Chairman Parents Forum, Mr Adenuga Oyinjesu, amongst others.
