His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom and other members of Adeboruwa- in-Council, were on Tuesday, at Adeboruwa Palace, met with the Corporate Business Owners in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, urging them to participate actively in this year's festival.

Speaking on behalf of Kabiyesi, the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, praised the efforts of Igbogbo Day Working Committee in ensuring this year's celebration record a huge success, noting that aside from the petty traders who are mostly recognized in Igbogbo Day festival, corporate business owners have not shown commitment by participating in the festival so far.

"Kabiyesi is ready to work hand in hand with you all, irrespective of the business you do. We have not been feeling your impact in all Igbogbo Days that we have been celebrating. So, this time around, we want your full participation in this year's festival," Odofin Onasanya said.

He further revealed that the King is not leaving any stone unturned as regard the development of Igbogboland. "The development and progress we are experiencing in Igbogbo now, is not by accident, Kabiyesi had been approaching different authorities to facilitate development to the community," Odofin added.

Chief Tajudeen Onasanya also assured that the Igbogbo to Bayeku road has been awarded because of the pains that the road is infringing on the users and government investments within the axit, assuring that the project will start very soon.

In his eloquent remarks, the Chairman, Igbogbo Day Working Committee, Mr Nasiru Titilope Balogun, said there is no way a community will grow without business enterprise, appealing to those with one challenges or the other to visit the Palace or Igbogbo Development Association, IDEA, for possible assistance.

"As Odofin has rightly said, whatever net profit we realize from this year's festival will be added to our last year fund, so that we can start our town hall project immediately. We need your assistance and your help in appealing to other business owners that are not aware, submit their names to us to follow it up, this present leaders will appreciate you and your record will be in our golden book.

"You should also ensure you buy the 'Ankara' because the little money we are going to generate from the sales will equally help towards the improvement of our community. We will be glad if you all donate willingly and cheerfully," Igbogbo Day Working Committee Chairman pleaded.

In the same vein, the Secretary of the Planning Committee, Mr Idris Adesina, popularly called 'Adido' enjoined business owners to actively participate in this year's festival, noting that it's going to be a combine celebration with the 5th Coronation anniversary of Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali.

Also, the Treasurer and P.R.O of the Planning Committee, Alhaji Ayokunle Sulamon and Mr Adeyemi Oshodi, appealed to all to get involved in this year's celebration, while urging Business Owners to advertise their products, company in the brochure.

While responding, the CEO Kasmas Mega Concept Limited, Mr Kazeem Shina, C.E.O, Ola Oluwanishola Filling Station, Alhaji Lawal and the Owner of Chillas Bar, Mr Chillas, thanked Kabiyesi for the honor, assuring him that despite the challenges facing their businesses, they'll make sure they contribute meaningfully.

"We will like the Planning Committee to give other Business Owners who are not here today, another opportunity, so that we can all be on the same page. Also, the security aspect should be giving proper attention, so that the community will be at peace throughout the festival," Mr Chillas appealed.
