As part of efforts to improve health care in Ikorodu, Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency and the Chairman, House Committee on Defence, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has moved a motion on the urgent need to complete the abandoned National Primary Health Centre in Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos.
Benson noted this on floor of the House, saying that the motion is important considering that the groundbreaking of the Health Centre started in 2006 and has been abandoned at 75 per cent completion.
In a statement made available to MegaXpression Media, Benson revealed that the House has resolved to urge the National Primary Health Care Development Agency to include funding for the completion of the Federal Medical Centre in Igbogbo in the 2022 budget estimate.
Also stated that the House has resolved to urge the Committee on Appropriation to make available funding for the completion to avoid the uncompleted building become hideout for miscreants.
