The Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru FCA, Member House of Reps, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Lagos Majority Leader, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja and the DG, Lagos State Sports Commission, Prince Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, have felicitated with the National leader of All Progressives Congress and the Presidential Aspirant of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 70th Birthday.
The four Legislators and the renowned sportman, branded the former Lagos State Governor as a politician with a penchant for distinction in leadership and an unshaken proponent of the culture of role modelling of younger generations, MegaXpression Media reports.
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries, a retired Bank Chief Executive and a former Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru of the Lagos East Senatorial District, in his congratulatory message to Asiwaju Tinubu, on Tuesday, said every Nigerian has acknowledged the outstanding role played by the statesman to stabilise the politics of the country as distinguished opposition leader since 2003.
He described Tinubu as a leaders with unrivalled capacity of discovery star talents who will add value to people's lives. "On behalf of my family, and the great people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I heartily congratulate our revered National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his landmark 70th Birthday.
"Sir, your leadership capacity and ability to headhunt star talents that will deliver great services to the people is never contestable. I belong to that class of outstanding professionals you encouraged to have a stint in public service for the greater good of the people. The learning curve remains valuable even now as a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
"The transformational government you led in Lagos State between 1999 and 2007 is still being referenced till date across the land. You rescued a state at the edge of a precipice. In education, health, waste management and road infrastructure, you delivered exceptionally .
"Sir, there is no doubt in my mind that Nigeria will experience an impressive transformation if your patriotic quest to provide quality leadership at this critical period in the nation’s history is acceded," Sen. Abiru opined.
Mainwhile, the Chairman House Committee on Defence, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR, equally rejoiced with Tinubu, noting that Asiwaju is a leader that's leading with an uncommon passion.
"At every turn of our national life, you have been an abiding factor for the propagation of true democratic principles. From the trenches, you mobilized resources for the greater good and on the return to democracy in Nigeria, you have stood with the progressives fighting every inch of the way to bequeath to the coming generation a foundation of selfless sacrifices," Benson remarked.
"Since I came in contact with you sir, you have demonstrated uncommon dexterity to issues, your ability to listen and give voice to others has continued to earn you unalloyed respect. You don’t only build for today, you see beyond now, you strategize to win even in occasional defeat, you urge all to see opportunities and to be better," the Lawmaker added.
Also, the Lagos Majority Leader, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, congratulated Tinubu on his 70th Birthday, saying Tinubu to him, is a patriot, mentor, bridge builder, moulder, philanthropist and employer of labour, whose footprints are being felt in every progressive segment of this nation. He therefore wished Tinubu good and sound health for his relentless mentorship and offering himself to serve Nigeria in 2023.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a Governor of Lagos State didn’t only turn around the economic fortunes of Lagos and Lagosians, but he made the state a mini Nigeria via assemblage of eggheads from East, West and the North to drive the government. This has become a template in Lagos up till now," Agunbiade added.
In his goodwill message, the House Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja, Aldo felicitated with Asiwaju, praying to the good Lord to grant him good health and long life as he joins other progressive entities to build a nation where socio-economic ills can’t find their ways.

"Your steadfastness and resilience over the years has not just set our democratic sojourn on the right path but has birthed progressive leaders across the country.
"Many refer to you as the father of modern Lagos, as the man who brought the blueprint upon which a mega status has been attained but you are even more than this as you have taken your progressiveness across board in the nation which is evident in the numerous accolades and support you have continued to enjoy," Bolowotan stated.
