LAGOS MAJORITY LEADER, HON. AGUNBIADE DONATES BEDS, MATTRESSES TO GENERAL HOSPITAL IKORODU, APPLAUDS MEDICAL DIRECTOR'S PERFORMANCE. | Shakiru Seidu. ...While Dr. Taiwo Hassan, Medical Director, commends gesture, urges State Government on Dialyses, Major Trauma Centres in Ikorodu.

Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon. Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle Agunbiade, has donated 10 beds and 10 mattresses to the General Hospital Ikorodu, assuring that it'll be a continuous gesture.

He narrated that his team, 'Onward Movement' had earlier paid an unscheduled visit to the Hospital to ascertain the level of operation and to see areas where the Hospital needed to be improved upon, before arriving at the needs of beds, mattresses, amongst others.

“In line with my corporate social responsibility, I took it upon myself to provide the basic needs of this Hospital for the good of our people, because Ikorodu General Hospital has helped in attending to the health needs of our people in Ikorodu Division, hence we need to support in equipping the Hospital,” Agunbiade opined.

The fourth term Lawmaker, Hon. Agunbiade, applauded the Medical Director of the General Hospital Ikorodu, Dr. Taiwo Hassan, commending his competence and approaches towards different innovation and renovation of the General Hospital, noting that the Medical Director have truly made the people of Ikorodu proud.

"My brother, the Medical Director, Dr. Hassan has done and is doing amazing things in this Hospital, making Lagos State and Ikorodu in particular proud. He must, therefore, be supported by whatever means necessary. I will continue with this gesture to further cushioning the challenges facing the Hospital," the Lawmaker added.

In the same vein, Agunbiade equally commended Dr. Olufemi, other Doctors and management of the General Hospital, for their unflinching supports bestowed upon Dr. Taiwo Hassan to get the job done, while charging other prominent citizens of Ikorodu Division to assist the needs of the General Hospital. 

Mainwhile, the Medical Director of Ikorodu General Hospital, Dr. Taiwo Hassan, in his eloquent remarks, thanked Hon. SOB Agunbiade, for his consistent support and timely kind intervention.

He appreciated the lawmaker for his magnanimity and show of concern for his constituency and for always identifying with the people and providing for their immediate needs, wishing Agunbiade success in his future desires.

Dr. Hassan also lauded the good support of Governor Sanwo-Olu, Commissioner for Health and the two Permanent Secretaries, saying that the authority have contributed immensely to the most improved General Hospital in Lagos State.

He thereafter, appealed passionately to the State Government and to be followed up by Hon. SOB Agunbiade, the request of Dialyses Centre for the diabetes patients, in order to reduce the lost of kidney failure patients in Ikorodu General Hospital, revealing that Ikorodu is the second largest General Hospital that has highest number of patients.

Also, the Medical Director requested for the needs of Major Trauma Centres across the 5 Division of Lagos State, while using the opportunity to urge the young Doctors to apply for medical jobs, as the positions are still available.
