It was a conclave of political, traditional and religious elites on Sunday, March 27, 2022, as former Chairman Ijede Local Council Development Area, Hon. Fatiu Salisu Jimoh, hosted his 52nd Birthday celebration to the delight of many in Ijede, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Among key dignitaries present at the celebration was the Regent of Ijede, High Chief Aliu Musediku and other High Chiefs from Ijede LCDA, Baales, CDC Leaders, Muslim and Christian communities, Vice Chairman Ijede LCDA, Hon. Kareem, Councillors, past office political office holders, families, political associates, APC Stalwarts, among numerous well wishers, MegaXpression Media was there.

The grand Chief Imam of Ijede LCDA, led the prayer session for Hon. Fatiu Salisu, seeking God for God's grace over his future endeavors. The CAC President, also in the same vein, prayed fervently for the Celebrant and commit him to God for maximum protection and victorious in his future challenges.

The Regent of Ijede, High Chief Aliu, lauded Fatiu’s leadership qualities when he was a Chairman, saying he is a leader worthy of emulation by Ijede’s political class. Chief Aliu described Hon. Fatiu as selfless in the discharge of his duties, and always shunned nepotism and disunity in Ijede LCDA.

“Hon. Fatiu Salisu is a patriotic son of Ikorodu Division and Ijede in particular, who always puts his community first and he is one of stabilising voices we have today in the politics of Ikorodu Constituency II. 

"This, he has demonstrated in a number of times, so the whole Ijede community is calling on him to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly and represent the good people of Ikorodu Constituency II because it's now the turn of Ijede LCDA after Imota and Igbogbo have completed their tenures," the Regent stated.

Similarly, the Chief Imam, Ijede, in his remarks described Fatiu as a unique leader, saying he always resisted the temptations of greed and selfishness. This and more were explained in his simon.

He said, “the sheer number of people gathered here today to honour Fatiu was an indication of the trust that the people of Ijede LCDA reposed in him after leaving the office as Chairman Ijede LCDA. 

Also speaking, Fatiu's senior sister, said at 52, Fatiu has a lot still to give to his fatherland. “If you look at the age he started, you will know that God has not finished with him, he still needs to represent the good people of Ikorodu Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly come 2023” she stated.

Mainwhile, an Ijede Indigene and candidate of PDP in the last Lagos Assembly Election, Hon. Abiodun Moshood, popularly called AMA, enjoined the people of Ijede LCDA not to allow their opportunity for the turn of House of Assembly to be hijacked. He pleaded for cooperation and oneness for Ijede to achieve the common goal.

Thereafter, the large crowd were entertained and the clamours for Fatiu 2023 Assembly were taken home by all.
