It was pomp and celebration on Friday, as the Chairman of Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, handed over educational materials, 700 Chairs, 120 White Boards, 7 Lawn Mowers, amongst others, to thirteen Primary Schools across the LCDA, MegaXpression Media was there.

At a well attended event, held at Methodist Primary School, Igbogbo, the Chairman, said that the purpose of the donation was to give teachers and pupils access to good teaching and learning facilities, stressing that the items would boost the educational development drive of the State government.

While appreciating God for His love and protection since his emergence, Daini revealed that aside from this gesture, token will equally be giving to the teachers periodically, while renovation and construction of old and new school blocks would be his priority, describing education as the bed rock of the society.

"Recently, our Administration have been able to build 4 toilets in some of our primary schools, while through Hon. Babajimi Benson, a block of 6 classrooms is ready for use at the primary school in Olu-Odo community. And also the market road in Igbogbo would be flagged off by next week," the Chairman opined.

“While the above listed interventions are ongoing, we shall relentlessly push for more because, nothing can be too much an effort in pursuit of our resolve to give qualitative basic education to our children”, Daini added.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Alawiye King, applauded Chairman Daini for his unalloyed passion for Education, saying his contribution would sure go in a long memory.

Alawiye-King, who was represented by Mrs Olusesi Monsurat Fadeke, thanked the people for entrusting Daini with their cherished mandate, he assured he'll remain available and accessible to the people of Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA.

In his speech, Member of SUBEB Board, Otunba (Dr.) Saheed Ibikunle, equally lauded Sesan Daini for giving the best to his people, tagging Daini's administration as effective representation.

Ibikunle also thanked the people for their support and called on other political office holders and well-placed individuals to take a cue from Daini.

Mainwhile, the Executive Secretary of Local Government Education Authority, LGEA, Ikorodu chapter, Mr A. Amusa, praised Chairman Daini for his keen interest in education and for boosting the state government’s huge investments in education.

In his respective goodwill message, the Chairman House Committee on Public Account at the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja, congratulated Daini for redefining governance in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA.

Sholaja pledged to continue his support to Daini, to enable him deliver more democratic dividends to the people. He warned the Head Teachers against vandalising educational infrastructures.

The event was graced by past and serving political office holders, representative of Royal fathers, youth and women groups, the Clergy and imminent personalities from Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
