2025 COUNCILLORSHIP RACE: APC STALWARTS ENDORSE HAKEEM SOLAWON FOR SECOND TERM IN IGBOGBO/ BAYEKU LCDA. ...Says One-Term Jinx in Ward C2 must stop.

Ahead of this year’s local government elections, some Stakeholders in Ward C2 APC of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, have thrown their support behind the re-election bid of the Councillor, representing the Ward C2 of Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Hakeem Solawon.

The leaders comprising former Ward Chairmen, Alhaji Adaboyan, Alhaji Suraju Kajola, Alhaji Daisi, former Ward C2 Councillors, Hon. Opeyemi Olusanya and Hon Wasiu Olowu. Other are Elder Adekunle Odumade, Mrs Comfort Badmus, Mrs Akashoro, Ward C2 Exco, among others, hinged their decision to support the lawmaker on his performance, saying lawmaker has performed creditably well, by bringing democracy to the doorsteps of the people of the area.

Kajola commended the Solawon for his sterling performance, urging him to raise the bar if re-elected, noting that the Solawon has already carved a niche of excellence and brilliance for himself.

Kajola said the achievements recorded in the last four years by Solawon is unprecedented saying this has helped in no small measure to reposition the area for better growth and development.

He said the leaders decided to throw their weight behind Solawon to erase the syndrome of Single Term in Ward C2, noting that other Wards have been going for two term in offices.

Others also tolled the same line, stating that Solawon has attracted several projects to the Ward and needs to be allowed for second term for continuity.

Speaking at the gathering, Hon. Hakeem Solawon, while appreciating the Leaders and Ward C2 Exco, described the support as a call for more action.

He said, ” My electoral promises were simple and it’s built on ensuring that the people get the best of democratic processes through qualitative representation which I am most passionate about”

What we have done so far is little compared to what we have planned for Ward C2 and I believe that with your support to ensuring the continuity of this representation, we will definitely have more to rejoice about.

Solawon later donated meeting gadgets for Ward C2 to be using for Ward Meetings.
