It was another historic moment for the people of Igbogbo Kingdom, as the community finally secured land for a befitting ultral modern Town Hall, MegaXpression Media reports.

The long battling of getting land for the project was put to rest recently, when His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom and his Chiefs, romanced the Otugbuwa family and the Owners of Lancon Industry to secure 3 acres of land, along Oreta/Offin road, Igbogbo, Lagos.

The official hoisting of the signpost for the Town Hall took place in the presence of the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, who led other Palace Chiefs, Vice President of Igbogbo Development Association, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, the Secretary, Engr. Lateef Oduntan and other members of IDEA, while the Chairman of the Igbogbo Day 2021/2022 Planning Committee, Mr Nosiru Temitope Balogun Andu, led other members of the Committee at the historic event.

Town Halls are viewed as a symbol of progress for any community, so the people of Igbogbo knew this and longed to have one such facility, at least, that they could call their own.

While speaking with MegaXpression Media, Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, confessed that his joy knew no bounds as a result of getting land for this long time yearning project. He thanked the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo for his unflinching support in making the dream come to reality.

Odofin therefore charged the IDEA to rise up to the responsibility and deliver a befitting ultral modern town hall for the community within a shortest period of time. “We don't pray of going to the Stadium for Igbogbo Day any longer, while any fund realised from the Hall after completed would also be invested in other developmental projects,” Odofin opined.

Chief Onasanya also commended the Igbogbo Day Planning Committee for their good services so far, urging them not to loose focus in furthering the developmental plans of Igbogbo community.

In the same vein, the Vice President of IDEA, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, also commended the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo while responding to MegaXpression Media. She said the Monarch's support has truly made it successful.

Akinsola assured that the IDEA, as a body will put up necessary mechanism to ensure that the construction of a befitting Town Hall sees the light of the day in short time.
