The organizers of the anticipated Igbogbo Magical Festivista 2.0 unveiled plans for the second edition of the event, which promises to celebrate culture, tourism, entertainment, and social development. The festival is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, under the sponsorship of the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

The press briefing, held in the conference hall of Igbogbo/ Baiyeku LCDA, brought together key stakeholders, vendors, and members of the media to discuss preparations for the event. With a focus on creating an inclusive and engaging atmosphere, the committee outlined the highlights of the program and addressed concerns raised by participants.

One of the major discussions during the press conference revolved around the regulation of vendors. They suggested that only those who paid for designated spaces should be allowed to participate in selling their goods. This measure, they argued, would prevent chaos and ensure a more structured marketplace.

Eshinlokun Abiodun Mumuni, the Public Relations Officer of the Community Development Council CDC, endorsed the suggestion, emphasizing the importance of creating a sense of unity among attendees, urging the committee to consider distributing branded materials such as caps and shirts to instill a sense of belonging and pride in the community.

Addressing concerns from the press about security measures, the organizing committee assured the public that adequate plans were in place to ensure the safety of all attendees. While specific details were not disclosed, the committee highlighted its collaboration with security agencies like the Nigerian Police, Mopol 63, Local Joint Task Force, Lagos State Neighborhood Corps, and LASTMA to maintain order throughout the event.

As for the festival’s programming, the committee unveiled an exciting lineup of activities designed to captivate audiences of all ages. The event will feature music performances from renowned local and Alist artists such as 9ice, Dhee P, TY Sleek, alongside various side attractions that aim to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA

The committee also issued a call to all participating vendors to prioritize quality and presentation in their products and services. “This is not just a festival; it is an opportunity to showcase the best of what our community has to offer,” one of the committee members noted, urging vendors to invest in proper planning and packaging to make a lasting impression.

Igbogbo Magical Festivista 2.0 is poised to build on the success of its inaugural edition, with organizers promising a bigger and better experience for all attendees. The festival’s dual focus on cultural promotion and social development underscores the LCDA’s commitment to fostering community pride and economic growth.

As the countdown to December 24 begins, anticipation is building for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of the vibrant spirit of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
