I-HEROES EMPOWERS PUPILS OF ELEJA PRIMARY SCHOOL IGBOGBO WITH BACK-TO-SCHOOL BAGS. ...Pays courtesy visit to Council Chairman, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun.
In a remarkable show of community impact, I-Heroes, a non governmental group has extended its educational support to pupils of Eleja Primary School Igbogbo, through a Back-to-School Project.
The initiative, which took place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, directly benefited 100 pupils of the first phase, while same gesture was said to be extended to the Six Councils of Ikorodu Division. The pupils were provided with school bags to aid their learning journey and encourage school retention.
The event attracted presence of the Executive Secretary, Local Government Education Authority LGEA Ikorodu Division, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, and representatives of the Igbogbo Youth Forum and Igbogbo Students. Their presence underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing education and grassroots development.
For the past years, I-Heroes has built a strong reputation for its interventions across Ikorodu Division, focusing on education, empowerment, and community upliftment. From grassroots projects to large-scale initiatives, the group has remained consistent in its mission to touch lives and give hope to children and families.
Speaking on the significance of the project, the I-Heroes President, expressed deep connection, noting that being born, raised, and still residing in Ikorodu has inspired their commitment to give back to his community.
“This project is more than just a distribution of school backpacks. It is about reminding our children that they matter, that their dreams are valid, and that their community is here to support them,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, the E.S., LGEA Ikorodu, commended the group’s efforts. “Education remains the strongest weapon for change. What I-Heroes has done today is not just an act of charity but an investment in the future of Mushin and Lagos State as a whole. We encourage more stakeholders to emulate this gesture.”
The Association reaffirmed its dedication to advancing education and youth development across Lagos State, pledging to sustain its outreach and expand its impact in years to come.
In her appreciative remarks, the Head Teacher, Mrs Odumade, thanked members of the I-Heroes for the kind gesture, while appealing for support on Computers and Generator to power pumping machine.
The group earlier visited the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun HOA, in his office, while highlighting reasons behind their interventions on education, empowerment, and community upliftment across Ikorodu Division.
