AMBODE AND HIS MAGNANIMOUS GESTURE ON ILEYA FESTIVAL IN IKORODU DIVISION. | Shakiru Seidu. He's a caring Governor that has great passion for Ikorodu Division. -Akinsola.

On Monday 4th of September, 2017, the Special Adviser and Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Hon Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola made an official delivery of the Governor's gesture to 30 selected people from Ikorodu division. The gesture which was the initiative of the Governor to assist some people during Ileya or Christmas festival.

Akinsola therefore used the opportunity to tell the beneficiaries of the good intention of Gov. Ambode to the people of Ikorodu division. She expressed satisfaction that her persistence indeed yielded positive result on the approval of Igbogbo-Ipakodo Bola Tinubu-Igbe road, as it was affirmed at the last stakeholders meeting that the road project is a done deal.

Akinsola equally acquainted the beneficiaries of these laudable project about to be witnessed at Ikorodu garage roundabout. She also enjoined the residents of Ikorodu division to embrace every project of the APC led government.

She did not hesitate to urge people of Ikorodu Constituency II to emulate Constituency 1 in electing people to leadership positions, while imploring them to eschew all form of personal interest and selfish aggrandizement in Ikorodu division.

The Acting Commissioner further affirmed the indivisible harmony within JB, SOB, Sholaja, Ogunleye and her humble self. She sues for the promotion of the Division's cultural heritage.

One of the aspirants in the recently local government election, Comrade Kehinde Okeowo, profoundly appreciated Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode and the Acting Commissioner for this gesture. She thereafter urged leaders at all levels in Ikorodu division to pursue unity of purpose and to shun all forms of unhealthy rivalry along all and sundry.

The former Chairman of the then Irepodun Local Govt., Alhaji S.O. Amusa from Ijede, congratulated the beneficiaries of the governor's largesse and urged them to utilize it productively. He appreciated God on behalf of Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola of how God has been using her in the Division even after after leaving Lagos State House of Assembly. He henceforth wooed Ikorodu Division Leaders to remain indivisible and resolute.

Alhaji Riliwan Ishola Jinadu, another aspirant in the local government election, joined others in appreciating Governor Ambode and Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola. He did not hesitate to sue for contentment and selflessness among all.
