BEGINNING OF ACADEMIC SESSION: DAINI VISITS PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN IGBOGBO. | Shakiru Seidu. Promised free School Uniform for some selected pupils who are not well dressed.

The passion for Education of Comrade Olusesan Daini, the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, was put to test on Monday, 11th of September, 2017, when he visited the two oldest Primary Schools in Igbogbo, Methodist and Eleja Primary Schools which were founded in 1912 and 1948 respectively.

It was an unscheduled visit despite the heavy rain on this beautiful morning, the Chairman firstly resumed to Methodist Primary School before 7:30am before proceeding to Eleja Primary School Igbogbo.

When addressing the Teachers and Pupils, he said, "To give all these beautiful faces the best in this academic session, it is actually the responsibility of the Local Government to oversee and provide necessary amenities for primary education. So, I took it upon myself, my HOA and other team that, we need to come here to see your faces and know what and what to do about the School".

"However, it's a journey of one year, one academic session, I just want to assure you that, I have decided with my team that we'll be co-traveler in that journey and also the security of our pupils will be given adequate attention", he added.

He equally assured the pupils that there would be award for the best Pupils from each Classes at the end of the session. On this reason, the Chairman enjoined the Pupils to face their studies squarely in other to take first position.

After he advised the pupils to remain faithful and obedient to their parents, the Chairman identified some pupils who are not well dressed and assured of giving them free Uniform in a couple of days.

The Head Teacher of the both Schools, when speaking with MegaXpression Magazine, expressed their sincere appreciation to the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA. They affirmed that Daini Olusesan would be the first Chairman in the history of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA to give this gesture.

They therefore urged him to remain focused and never allow distractions to take possession of his administration.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
