The Muslims in the whole World, on Friday, 1st of September, 2017, celebrated this year's Eid-el-Kabir in a joyous and peaceful manner.

In Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo joined the rest of the Muslims to perform this year's sacrifice. He called on Muslim faithfuls in Lagos State to inculcate the bets virtues associated with the Holy festival. According to Kabiyesi, he affirmed that the significance of Eid-el-Kabir festival is to inject best Islamic virtues in Muslims through patience and spirit of oneness.

The Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini who had earlier urged residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA to devote this period to extra-ordinary prayers for the peace, stability and prosperity of the Community in his Ileya's speech. Daini asked the Muslims to take cue from the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir festival and in keeping with the principles of servant leadership.

He assured that his administration will remain committed to the service of humanity and the improvement of the quality of lives of our people. "We shall ensure that our people, particularly the less-privilege ones continue to be the target beneficiaries of our policies and programmes, he explained.

Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola and Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, when speaking with MegaXpression Magazine, call on the good people of Ikorodu Division and indeed all Lagosians to embrace peace and religious harmony at all time. They urged the residents to eschew all forms of political and religious extremism so as to lay the foundation for sustainable development in Ikorodu Division.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
