His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, on Wednesday, 25th of April, 2018, hosted the Traditional Rulers of Ijebu-Speaking Communities in Lagos State, in his Palace. The historic meeting was added with glamour by the presence of Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Member, 7th Assembly, former Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture and former, Special Adviser to Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode on Housing, Comrade Olusesan Daini, Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Chief Olatunji Odusanya mni, Adeboruwa-in-Council, led by High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, Odofin of Igbogbo, Ijaolu Ruling House, and other invited guests.
MegaXpression Magazine learnt that the forum was aimed at promoting the unity, peace, and friendship among the rank and file of the established traditional institutions in Lagos State. It's also gathered that it was established to reflect and strengthen the cultural homogeneity of communities in the Lagos East Senatorial District and shall be a further boost to the rich cultural context of Lagos State.
The meeting was held behind a closed door and was presided over by the Vice Chairman of the Forum, HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, after the Chairman, Alara of Ilara, Oba Akeem Adesanya, was unavoidably absent.
