IKORODU WEST PROGRESSIVE CLUB HOLDS A UNIQUE EASTER CARNIVAL. | Shakiru Seidu.

It was full of fun at Garden Park, Ipakodo, on Monday, 2nd of April, 2018, when Ikorodu West Progressive Club (IWPC), organized a unique programme to celebrate Easter period. The Club which is aimed at promoting the cultural value and development of Ikorodu, paraded some children in different game activities.

The Chairman of the Club, Mr Kazeem Agbabiaka, in his remarks, thanked His Royal Majesty, Oba Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, Sekumade of Ipakodo, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, Hon SOB Agunbiade, ML, Hon Jumoke Jumbo, Mr Fola Tinubu, Dangote Pasta, and the rest of others that made this year's event a memorable one.

After series of games, prizes were given to the winners. Hon Jimoh Azeez Olosugbo, Mr Sheriff Saula, Mr Sodiq Agboroja, Mr Semiu Paseda, were all in attendance.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
