APC VOLUNTEERS INAUGURATE G15 OF ELDERS ADVISORY COUNCIL IN LAGOS STATE. | Shakiru Seidu. Akinsanya Ajose, Akanni Seriki, Fatai Olukoga, Adebimpe Akinsola, Dengel Anifowose, Akintunde Ambode, others, swear-in at Acme.

APC Volunteers of Lagos State on friday, 27th of April, 2018, inaugurated an Elders Advisory Council, EAC, at the Party Secretariat, ACME, Ikeja, to promote the rejuvenation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State. MegaXpression Magazine reports that the Elders Advisory Council were received by the State Executive members and the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) Coordinators.

The State Coordinator of the Group, Otunba Adewale Adeyemi told MegaXpression after the inauguration that the Elders Advisory Council was formed  as part of the repositioning and restructuring programme of the Party. “Now we have a performing government, we must also have a strong Party for now and the future,” he said.

He appealed to the Elders Advisory Council to work in unison with others to ensure that  the goal of a stronger APC and a better society was achieved. It was said that the council would largely function in an advisory capacity to make the task of management easier for the growth and development of APC.

In his superlative remarks, Dr. Akinsanya Ajose, member of Governor's Advisory Committee said, "It is my singular honor and privilege to team up with the youth. It's gladden my heart to note that the youths are now reawakening their mindset to participate actively in a political process of this Nation. Worthy of mentioning is the high level of political contiousness noticeable among our youths of this era."

He therefore, considered it necessary to encourage the youths to sustain this level of political consciousness and join the political process to ensure that APC is rekindle by being represented by quality representatives at all level of political structure and individual that would bring growth and development to the door step of its people.

The former Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, thanked the leadership of APC Volunteers for their determination in projecting APC and urged the youths to make themselves available for mentorship. She enjoined the youths to commence immediately, the mobilisation of the fellow youths to go and register with the INEC and ensure the collection of their Permanent Voters Card, PVC, in order to participate in ongoing political process. "We must ensure our vote massively delivered to APC and our hard working Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, with a very land slide margin," she appealed.

Otunba Dr. Fatai Olukoga, former Special Adviser to Babatunde Fashola on Education, reinstated his commitment to the growth of youths and progress of the APC. He urged all and indeed the Party members to guard jealously the image of APC towards the coming election. He further applauded the choice of Dr. Ajose Akinsanya and thanked him for his mentorship since University days.

Chief Akintunde Ambode, in his remarks, sued for peaceful coexistence among the Volunteers and not to be overshadowed by ambitions.

The G15 of APC Volunteers Advisory Council, EAC, inaugurated include Dr. Akinsanya Ajose, GAC member, Alhaji Akanni Seriki, (Bamu), GAC member, Otunba Fatai Olukoga, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Alhaji Hassan Ajeigbe, M. A. Majekodunmi (Iya Oyo), Chief Imran Taiwo, Chief Bola Daodu, Chief Olubamise Bakare, Alhaji Anifowose Dengel, Hon. Kolawole Taiwo, Dr. Akin Aina, Chief Akintunde Ambode, Hon. Daniel Atra and Alhaji Ganiu Badmus.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
