BABAJIMI BENSON COMMISSIONS ICT CENTRE, BLOCK OF CLASSROOMS IN IKORODU DIVISION. | Shakiru Seidu. ..Celebrates Birthday in grand style

Friday, 30th of March, 2018, was another great day in the history of Ikorodu federal Constituency when a wind of joy blew and the Constituents enjoyed another dividend of democracy.

The erudite Legislator, Hon. Babajimi Benson, MHR, commissioned an ICT Centre at Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu and Methodist Primary School Oke-Eletu in Ijede LCDA. This also went along with his birthday celebration.

When speaking at the LGEA, Ikorodu, Hon Benson thanked the people of Ikorodu Division for the undiluted support given towards his aspiration. After affirming that the projects were being facilitated by him, he assured that more structures are still in the offing. He named the ICT Centre in honor of the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, who has done tremendously well towards the development of Ikorodu Division.

The Education Secretary of Ikorodu Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Mr Taiwo Oduloye, expressed joy and enthusiasm towards the performance of Hon. Babajimi Benson and for his tenacity of purpose.

He thanked and appreciated him for his kind gesture in construction, equipping of ICT centre with Computers for the people of Ikorodu Division. He also expressed joy for the Block of Classrooms built at Methodist primary School Oke-Eletu, Ijede LCDA.

After wishing him Happy Birthday, Mr Taiwo Oduloye assured that the Authority will make use of the ICT Center to train at least, 1,000 pupils per week. This will spread among the 62 Primary Schools and over 3,000 teaching and non teaching Staff of Ikorodu Division.

Before the official unveiling, the former deputy Governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, accepted the shocking gift for naming the ICT Centre in his name during his life time. He lauded the uncommon ideology of Hon. Babajimi Benson and urged him not to relent.

The attention was thereafter shifted to Methodist Primary School Oke-Eletu in Ijede LCDA, where Hon Nurudeen Sholaja, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Alhaji Fatiu Salisu, Chairman Ijede LCDA, Prince Wasiu Agoro, Chairman Imota LCDA and other Party Leaders in Ikorodu Constituency II were waiting to commission the laudable project by Hon Babajimi Benson.

It was however difficult for Hon Sholaja, Alhaji Fatiu, Chief Golden Jay and other Party leaders to hide their feelings about the quality representation of Hon. Babajimi Benson. They applauded the unimaginable performance and assured him of more support from the Constituency.

Some of the people who witnessed the commissioning include Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Comr Olusesan Daini, Alhaji Fatiu Salisu and Prince Wasiu Agoro, Chairman Igbogbo/Baiyeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs, Mr Taiwo Oduloye, Princess Folashade Oba, Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Mr Apanisile, Vice Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA, Party Leaders, iCARE Team, APC faithfuls among others.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
