The APC Youth Wing of The Mandate Group (TMG), Ikorodu, on Monday, 2nd of April, 2018, at Alhaji Lawal Animashaun's house, Igbogbo, organized a day Seminar, themed, 'Why Youth in Politics'.

In is keynote address, the youth leader, Alhaji Ilesanmi enjoined Ikorodu youths to restore the loss natural image in the Party. "Basically, this seminar was born out of our desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of a robust political system in Ikorodu Division, that is comparable with that of advanced countries," Ilesanmi explained.

In the superlative speeches of the two guest speakers, Mrs Ogunleye B.D. and Alhaji Chief Ade Ajala, they affirmed that the Youth of Ikorodu Division are well endowed with diverse natural resources and If these natural resources can be properly harnessed and managed cautiously, Ikorodu Division will be a better place for all. They further urged the youth not to relent on politics, eschewed laziness and remain loyal to The Mandate Group.

In his eloquent remarks, Mr Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, enjoined the youth to be self employed and charged them to be more proactive. It was in the same vein that Hon Nurudeen Agbaje, urged the youth not to bury their potentials.

Alhaji Badru Enifeni, the Secretary of the APC Apex Body, Ikorodu, said the political leaders of today started as youth and advised the youth to copy good things from them. Enifeni also challenged the youth of The Mandate Group to live a purposeful life with good character and enjoined them to positively impact the society.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
