AGUNBIADE HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING ON SACROSANCT TRUE REPRESENTATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY. | Shakiru Seidu. The cordial and progressive working relationship between the Legislature and Executive Arm of government has helped Lagos State to be ranked among the best State in the World. -Agunbiade

It is unequivocally true that the ears that listen to a departure should get the feedback. This played out at the prestigious Lagos State Polytechnic Ikorodu, on Friday 6th of October, 2017, where the Majority Leader at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. SOB Agunbiade convened the Stakeholders Meeting of like minds within Ikorodu Constituency 1, in a bid to rub minds together and dissemination of feed backs.

The program which was covered by MegaXpression Magazine, witnessed the presence of Stakeholders and residents of Ikorodu Constituency I, including HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Otunba Ayodele Elesho, Chairman Ikorodu Development Association, Otunba Ganiu Abiru, Chairman Nigerian Bar Association, Barr. Lerry Adigwo, CDC Chairperson and Iya Oloja across the three local government in the Constituency. Representative of PDP Chairman, Lagos APGA Chairman, Barr. Alabi, Vice Chairman APC, East Senatorial District and many others.

In his keynote adress to the gathering, Chief Host, Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade, after recognising and paying homage to His Royal Majesty, Oba Shotobi, he welcomed and appreciated everybody for their suport and interest in the affairs of the State House of Assembly. He introduced the theme "True Representation and Accountability". He said the theme was picked on account of the commitment of the Lagos State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa in ensuring that there is meaningful representation and accountability to the people and also to get people's opinion and suggestions.

He went on to mention some of the outcome of previous Stakeholders meetings, which include:

- Approval of the Construction of Agege Pen Cinema Flyover Bridge soon to commence.

- Construction of Owutu-Isawo and Igbogbo/Igbe/Ijede roads in Ikorodu.

- Abule Egba Flyover Bridge which has already been commissioned.

He went on to state that these achievements could not have been possible without the cordial and progressive working relationship between the Legislature and Executive Arm, the commitment of the All Progressive Congress Party, APC and the cooperation and support of the people.

Hon. SOB also briefed the gathering about the ongoing process of amending the 1999 constitution by the National Assembly aimed at reflecting the needs of the people. He stated some of the State's plan for Ikorodu Constituency such as a State of the Arts Stadium in Laspotech, Cultural Centre in Ikorodu and many more.

Questions, requests and suggestions were directed to the Majority Leader about Road Constructions, Schools renovation, Health Centres, Libraries and security, which he answered accordingly.

The program came to an end with closing prayer from the Chairman CAN Ikorodu, Superintendent Olabisi.
