AGUNBIADE, OGBARA, SOLEBO, OTHERS, INDUCT AS NEW ORIWU CLUB MEMBERS, AS OBA SHOTOBI MADE THE LIFE PATRON. | Shakiru Seidu. Royal heads, politicians, technocrats, others, stormed the event.

It was an eventful occasion on Saturday, 14th of October, 2017, when members of Oriwu Club and the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi hosted the Royal Majesties across the State and other notable personalities from all works of life. This and more were done at the multi purpose hall of Oriwu Club Ikorodu, where Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi was made the life Patron of the Club and inducted eight new members.

The programme which was kick started with an opening prayer by Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, saw the likes of Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Arole Oduduwa, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, who was ably represented. Other Royal Heads were His Royal Majesties, Oba Fatai Ojora, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Ranodu of Imota, Oba Ajibade Agoro, Oba Tajudeen Elemoro, Oba Adebayo Afolabi, the Noforija, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, Oba Asumo Ganiu of Odo Ayanfolu, Oba Adeoriyomi Oyebo of Egbin royal kingdom, Oba Buhari Balogun, Onilokun of Ilokun, Oba Ayodele Aileru from Poka, Oba Richard Ogunsanya from Ibeshe, among others.

Also among the guests were the former deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Sen. Ganiu Olanrewaju Solomon, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, Deputy Speaker, Hon Wasiu Eshilokun, member, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, Prince Lanre Sanusi, PLS, Otunba Ayodele Elesho and other Honorary Chiefs from Ikorodu, Alhaji Shafari Aremu Sule and other Oriwu Club members, Dr. Adeola Adedoyin, Sen. Gbenga Ashafa, who was ably represented and many more.

The President of Oriwu Club, Alhaji Shafari Aremu Sule, in his eloquent address, welcome everyone to the investiture of Oba Shotobi as the life Patron of the Club and induction of eight new members.

He thanked the 23 friends who came with one mind to form this noble Club in June 1973 and applauded Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe for his immense contribution towards the actualization of the Oriwu Club Multi Purpose Hall when he was a Minister and President.

Shortly after that, HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi was decorated as the life Patron of Oriwu Club, followed by the Ojora of Ojoraland, HRM Oba Fatai Aremu Ojora. In their remarks, Oba Shotobi and Aremu thanked the guests for honouring their invitation and assured of supporting the multi purpose hall project.

Shortly after that, the induction of Chief Dr. Kazeem Ogbara, Hon SOB Agunbiade, Mr Tajudeen Solebo, Dr Adeniyi Balogun, Dr. Mobolaji Olukoya, Dr. Adesegun Kashimawo, Otunba Akinola Awomodu, and Mr Babatunde Mutairu Ogidi, were done one after the other as members of Oriwu Club of Ikorodu.

When MegaXpression Magazine spoke with one of the Inductees, Hon. SOB Agunbiade,  He used the avenue to thank his amiable wife, Hon Eshinlokun, Hon JB, Hon Sholaja, Prince Sanusi, Otunba Abiru and Daisi, not forgotten Asipa Kaoli Olusanya and others who stood by him to make the dream come to reality.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon.
