The leadership and the guest for who should lead the people of Oreta community between Mr Ojikutu and Mr Shina of both Sholumade family, had stagnated progress and development of the community for decades.

This worrisome state of the community was reported recently by our media due to the vacuum created by the absence of leadership in Oreta community.

Unequivocally, the economic activities in the community was grounded to a halt as the youths decided to take the bull by the horn on Tuesday, 31st of October, 2017, while they approached the two rivalry contenders of the Baale Chieftaincy tittle, to sign undertaken that, conflicts of any kind will not ensue before, during and after the installation of whoever emerged.

The youth came out in their large numbers and evaded the Palace of Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, holding various placards stating, "Enough is enough, Oreta Community sued for peace, Oreagba, leave Oreta alone, Oreta people back Adeboruwa", and a host of other inscriptions reflecting their interest for growth and development in Oreta.

Alhaji Imam Jimoh Noah reiterated the precious resolution and decision of Adeboruwa-in-Council as stated in our previous reports. The youth coordinator, Alhaji Shakiru Musa affirmed the commitment of the youth of Oreta community to ensure the installation of new Baale in the shortest possible time owing to the fact that they are tired of stagnancy and nepotism.

He reiterated the fact that after the demise of Chief Busayo 7years ago, Oreta is nothing to write home about.

The passionate King of Igbogbo, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo applauded the courage of the youths due to their peaceful and nonviolent protest to air their grievances.

The Kabiyesi assured them that he will surely work on the signed undertaken and determination to install new Baale of Oreta. Although the undertaken was for Sholumade family, the Adejupe is still in Court on the matter.

My interest on Oreta community is growth and development and nothing more, Oba Kasali tells the protesters. He therefore urged the youth to stay neutral in the whole process.

The King equally assured that all pending cases in Court will be brought to logical conclusion in no time. He further enjoined the youths to embrace tolerance, while urging aggrieved youths to keep calm because the Palace and Lagos State Government will not take it lightly if anyone engages in the breakdown of law and other.
