EMBRACE HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP, ADEBORUWA-IN-COUNCIL URGES THE THREE RULING HOUSES IN ORETA, IGBOGBO. | Shakiru Seidu. The progress and development of Oreta Community is my concern, Oba Kasali explained.

It was a great concern and very worrisome to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and his Chiefs with the stagnancy of Oreta Community on Baale tussle.

The matter was called for questioning at the Palace of Adeboruwa of IGBOGBO on Tuesday, 17th of October, 2017.

The Otunba of Igbogbo Kingdom, Chief Lanre Obayomi was the first to address the issue. He enjoined the contenders to eschew quarrel, as this will hinder the progress of Oreta Community. He further urged the Sholumade family to entertain reconciliation.

High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo in his words of wisdom appealed passionately for peace to reign in Oreta Community. He revealed the consequence of any Community that has no head.

Odofin, therefore confirmed that the process of installing a new Baale of Oreta had been completed by the late King, Oba J.O. Fatola and it's just left for Oba Kasali to install the new Baale of Oreta Community.

He explained how this process received a government backing. Odofin, therefore appealed to parties involved to embrace peaceful coexistence among themselves.

The Alayeluwa, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, in his eloquent address, warned the three parties involved, Sholumade, Adejupe and Ogunoya to eschew hatred and put the interest of Oreta Community as number one priority.

The progress and development of Oreta Community is my concern, Oba Kasali revealed when speaking with MegaXpression Magazine. He further enjoined them to withdraw all Court cases for peace to reign.

In no time, the Kabiyesi and his Chiefs adjourned till coming Tuesday, when the Council will meet the lines of Mr Sikiru Olaseni Adetilo, Chief Ramoni Yusuf, Mr Lookman Olanrewaju Sholumade, Chief Tabura Sule, Madam Taiwo Sholumade, Alhaja Ajoke Lawal Sholumade and other three representatives from Ogunoya family for final resolution.

A new Chief Imam for the Igbogbo Central Mosque has been installed. He is Fadeelat Imam Abdulganiu Gazali , who was turbaned on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, as Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque and Grand Chief Imam Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA. He succeeds the late Fadilat Sheikh Dhikirulahi Abdulahi Andu (Tanimose) who died on the 2nd of June, 2025. Gazali , before his installation, was the Chief Imam Araromi Mosque , Itun-Abosan.
