It was a memorable moment in Igbogbo Kingdom, as the Community ended a 3-day celebration of Eyibi/Eluku festival.

The festival which started on Friday 20th of October, 2017, witnessed a large number of sons and daughters of Igbogbo, rejoicing and praying for the growth of the community.

When talking to MegaXpression Magazine, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, who witnessed the first Eyibi/Eluku festival on throne, expressed joy and satisfaction in the successful celebration and urged the residents of Igbogbo Kingdom to be law abiding and embrace peaceful coexistence among each other.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
