It was a memorable day in Igbogbo, on Wednesday, 4th of October, 2017, when CHIEF PRINCESS NUSIRAT TOWOBOLA ABENI BAKARE, committed to mother earth at the residence of her son, Alhaji Jelili Abubakar (Hasibunalahi), in Igbogbo. She died at the age of 90 after a brief illness.

HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, ably represented by the Palace Chiefs, led by High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, Odofin of Igbogbo, Sheikh Imam Olowooribi and other Islamic Scholars across the division, CEO of Homat Group of Schools, members of Ijaolu ruling House and many more were all in attendance to give last respect.

May her gentle soul rest in peace. Ameen.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
