EMINENT PERSONS OF IKORODU DIVISION UNVEIL THEIR AGENDA, AS THE GROUP PRESENTS LIAISON WORKING DOCUMENT TO THE PUBLIC. | Shakuru Seidu.
If a fair and just must be achieved in Lagos State, Chairman Liaison Group of the Eminent Persons of Ikorodu Division, Sir Engr. (Chief) R.O. Shoderu, said, Stakeholders of Ikorodu Division must set agenda for what is desirable in giving Ikorodu Division same opportunity to equal other Divisions of Lagos State and where peace and justice will reign among its people.
Engr. Shoderu expressed this in his keynote address, delivered during the public presentation of the Liaison Group Working Document at Ikorodu Town Hall on 15th of May, 2018.
He said, "The document was a product of the efforts of the Think Tank Committee. The Committee was set up by the middle of 2017 with the mandate to produce a Working Document for the guidance of the Group in its functions and activities to ensure that the development of Ikorodu Division meet the global human development index."
Engr Shoderu therefore used the opportunity to commend members of the Committee for a job well done. "Our vision now is to be an "Engine Room" which will create a future of excellence in all ramifications for Ikorodu Division by harnessing all resources available for development in line with the global Human Development Index (HDI)". He said.
Engr. Shoderu further revealed their mission statement, which is to monitor the pattern of distribution of social-political, infrastructural and accountability. "The new membership of the Group has been carefully selected across communities, social-cultural groups, government agencies and academia in Ikorodu Division." He added.
However, Sen. Ganiu Olanrewaju Solomon, GOS, in his eloquent remarks before giving the privilege to officially present the Working Document to the eminent persons and members of the public, Sen. GOS applauded the initiative and enjoined all to key into the vision.
The leaders in attendance include the Chairman of the Group, Sir (Engr.) Chief R. O. Shoderu, Chief Tele Oduloye, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, Sen Ganiu Olanrewaju Solomon, Hon Docas Odujirin, Dr. Okedeyi Shakiru, Mr Taiwo Oduloye, Prof. Chief Kunle Ade-Wahab, Otunba Wole Odulate, Chief Pharm Tunji Sanni, Otunba David Ekiyoyo, Otunba Capt. Amusa Tunde, Prof. M. O. Ajetunmobi and Alhaji Ganiyu Wahab.
