SOB AGUNBIADE HOLDS 8th RAMADAN LECTURE. | Shakiru Seidu. "All Positions belong to Allah," Dr. Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Akeem reveals.

As the holy month of Ramadan in on, the Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, has held his 8th annual Ramadan lecture, at his constituency Office, in Ikorodu. which witnessed as usual, a large turn out of the Muslim faithfuls and other guests.

The lecture with the theme ‘ISLAM AND THE CONCERT OF POWER’ emphasized on the reasons why we should not allow positions to apprehend our good character and by living the values of Islam.

Guest lecturer, Chief Imam of Lagos State Central Mosque, who also is the Commissioner of Home Affairs, Hon. Dr. Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Hakeem, advocated more support from the Muslim community to credible people in governance. He advised the people of Ikorodu Division to always believe in the Power of Allah, "All Powers belongs to Allah, it's only Him that can determine someone's destiny", he said. He further enjoined all to eschew politics of bitterness and place Allah first in all endeavours.

He applauded Hon. Agunbiade for his steadfastness in time of socio-political challenges and assure him that history will not forget his loyalty to the cause of Ikorodu.

In his remarks, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, thanked his constituents for the unflinching support bestowed upon him so far and more so, his lieutenants, particularly his amiable wife, Alhaja Tairat Agunbiade, for her roles in making the day a reality.

Chief Imam of Oriwu Central Mosque, Alhaji Sheikh Osoala Asamadani implored all in Ikorodu Constituency 1 to give Hon. SOB Agunbiade, another chance to return to House of Assembly, for the interest and sake of Ikorodu constituency 1. "SOB's fourth term ambition is beyond personal interest", Osoala explained.

MegaXpression Magazine gathered that this year's lecture witnessed a lot of Islamic leaders and political leaders in attendance.  The Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, Fadilat Sheikh Oloworibi and Sheikh Asamadani Osoala, led Imams from across Ikorodu Division to the venue.

Political leaders present include the APC East Senatorial Vice Chairman, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, members of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Abiru and Hon. Fafunmi, Hon. Fatiu Salisu of Ijede LCDA, Alhaji R.I Jinadu, Alhaji Taiwo Longe, Otunba Ganiu Abiru, Alhaji Monsur Olowosago, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Barr. SOK Shillings, Hon Mattew Adesanya, Alhaji Golden Jay and Mr Owolabi Anifowose.
Others are the State Vice Chairman of NURTW, Alhaji (Otunba) Daisi Waliu, Hon. Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo, Councillors, Associations of Market women /men led by Alhaja Taofikat Allison (Iyaloja General Ikorodu Division), CDC's chairmen while several CDAs where also present at the program.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
